Individual Vacation Days Clause Examples for Any Agreement

a. Administrative Assistants/Clerks will have the opportunity to request other than bid vacation days on a day-to-day basis, provided there is adequate coverage. An employee may request a vacation day off no later than 14 calendar days, prior to the requested day off, except in unusual situations.
b. Customer Service Representatives will have the opportunity to request other than bid vacation days on a day-to-day basis. The Employer will provide a secure electronic book available to employees during dispatch hours for sign-up of requested individual vacation day(s) off (except for bid holidays). Customer Service Representatives can sign up for individual days off no earlier than 45 days and no later than three (3) weekdays (Monday through Friday) prior to the requested day(s) off. The Customer Service Representative will e-mail the supervisor and the Customer Service Shop Xxxxxxx as confirmation that the electronic book has been signed. The Employer will guarantee individual vacation day(s) to the person(s) who sign up in the electronic book, so long as there is an opening on the bid vacation sign up. In the event the Employer is able to accommodate an additional person off, the next person who signed up in the electronic book will be allowed to take the day off. The Employer will make a good faith effort to notify the employee of a vacation day approval within three (3) weekdays of the requested day off.

The number of individual vacation days available to an employee shall be determined by multiplying the normal number of shifts that an employee is regularly scheduled to work in each one (1) week period by the number of remaining number of weeks available as vacation entitlement. Where an employee’s regular number of regularly scheduled shifts per pay period divided by two (2), to determine the average number of scheduled shifts per week.
b. Individual vacation days may only be requested and granted in accordance with Article 17.03.
c. Casual employees may not request individual vacation days.
d. Individual vacation day requests must be submitted before the work schedule in which that vacation day will fall is posted.
