Leave DayÌýmeans a day on which an admitted patient is on leave from a hospital without being discharged from that hospitalâ€�

Leave Day.ÌýA leave day is used for computing earned leave and is equivalent to a 12- hour working day for a 56-hour per week employee, or is equivalent to an 8-hour working day for a 40-hour per week employee. Leave taken is computed as the actual hours used. MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING: A binding contract, as provided for by the Xxxxxx-Xxxxxx-Xxxxx Act, between the City of Berkeley and the Berkeley Fire Fighters Association specifying wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION ACTOR: An employee allowed to act in a higher classification, when there are no qualified personnel on the current promotional list available, shall be known as a Minimum Qualification Actor. They must meet all the required qualifications, education, and experience to be eligible to participate in the promotional exam process for the classification in which they are to act. Minimum Qualification Actors must also successfully complete a certification process for the classification in which they are to act, administered by the Division of Training, before they are allowed to act in the specified classification.

Leave DayÌýmeans Layday.

Leave Day.ÌýOne of the five work days, usually consecutive and usually Monday through Friday, during a week of the academic year, such that the hours equal one-fifth (1/5) of a standard work week of forty (40) hours for a full- time faculty member, used for purposes of standardized leave accounting.

PROVISIONAL: A career employee who is temporarily serving in a higher level or unclassified position as a temporary assignment, pending examination, classification, or in the absence of the permanent incumbent. RECLASSIFICATION: Reallocation of a position from one classification to another classification based upon consideration of the kind and level of assigned duties and responsibilities.

Leave DayÌýmeans any calendar day during which the recipient leaves the fa- cility and is absent overnight, and all subsequent, consecutive calendar days. An overnight absence from the facility of less than 23 hours does not constitute a leave day. Neverthe- less, if the recipient is absent from the facility to participate in active programming of the facility under the personal direction and observation of facility staff, the day shall not be considered a leave day regardless of the number of hours of the recipient's absence. For purposes of this item, "calendar day" means the 24 hour period ending at midnight.

Leave DayÌýshall be any "Duty Day" for which an authorized absence is obtained.

Leave DayÌýmeans any day that an individual is not in the facility but is expected to return to the facility.

Leave DayÌýmeans any twenty-four-hour period, excluding a work day, during which Xxxx is off work as set out in Article 19 and is composed of time off in lieu of vacation and weekends.

Leave DayÌýdeducts one Day from the Employee’s leave balance.
