Prescription Medications definition

Prescription MedicationsÌýmeans any substance obtained directly from or pursuant to a valid prescription or order of a practitioner, as defined in 16 Del.C. §4701(24), while acting in the course of his or her professional practice, and which is specifically intended for the student in whose possession it is found.
Prescription MedicationsÌýmeans the use (by a driver) of legally prescribed medications issued by a licensed health care professional familiar with the driver's work-related responsibilities.

Examples of Prescription Medications in a sentence

  • This means that a medication-specific quantity limit may apply to Prescription Medications that have an increased potential for over-utilization or an increased potential for a Member to experience an adverse effect at higher doses.

  • However, any Prescription Medications that require Prior Authorization will be treated as a Claim for benefits subject to the Claims and Appeals Procedures, as outlined in this Contract.

  • A copy of the list of covered Prescription Medications, drugs requiring Prior Authorization and drugs that are a part of the Progressive Medication Program are available from AvMed’s Member Engagement Center or from the AvMed website.

  • Replacement of previously filled Prescription Medications because the initial Prescription Medication was lost, stolen, spilled, contaminated, etc.

  • The list of Prescription Medications requiring Prior Authorization is subject to periodic review and modification by XxXxx and may be amended without notice.

  • Vitamins or food/nutrient supplements, except those that are Prescription Medications not available over the counter, are not covered.

  • The Out-of-Pocket Maximum does not apply to any expenses covered under the Prescription Medications benefit.

  • Except for emergencies, covered Prescription Medications must be obtained at Participating Pharmacies.

  • Please refer to your Schedule of Benefits for cost-sharing amounts for Prescription Medications ordered through mail services.

  • Pharmacy means a pharmacy (retail, mail order or specialty pharmacy) that has entered into an agreement to provide Prescription Medications to AvMed Members and has been designated as a Participating Pharmacy.

  • Prescription medication means any medication that requires a physician prescription before it may be obtained from a pharmacist.

  • Nonprescription medication means a drug or medication authorized pursuant to federal or state law for general distribution and use without a prescription in the treatment of human disease, ailments, or injuries.

  • Antipsychotic medications means that class of drugs

  • Prescription monitoring program “PMP,â€� or “programâ€� means the program established pursuant to 657—Chapter 37 for the collection and maintenance of PMP information and for the provision of PMP information to authorized individuals.

  • Medication means any drug, chemical, compound, suspension, or preparation in suitable form for use as a curative or remedial substance taken either internally or externally by any person.
