  • The employee representatives, the employer representatives, and the Crown, intend to establish an OSSTF Employee Life and Health Trust (ELHT), (hereinafter, the “Trustâ€�), to provide benefits to teachers and other education workers in the Province of Ontario in accordance with section 144.1 of the Income Tax Act (Canada) (“ITAâ€�).

  • The date on which the school boards and the bargaining units benefit plan commenced participation in the OSSTF ELHT shall be referred to herein as the “Participation Dateâ€�.

  • C4.1 OPSBA, the Crown and OSSTF agree to establish a joint Central Labour Relations Committee to promote and facilitate communication between rounds of bargaining on issues of joint interest.

OSSTFĚýmeans the Ontario Secondary School Teachersâ€� Federation, otherwise referred to as the Union. a) Teacher means a person who is employed by the University of Toronto Schools, and who is a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers, and who is a statutory member of OSSTF, for whom UTS is required to deduct fees in accordance with a schedule prescribed for members of OSSTF. For the purposes of this Agreement, a “Librarianâ€� and a “Guidance Counsellorâ€� shall be deemed to be a Teacher. b) The Parties agree that if the Ontario College of Teachers has advised UTS that a Teacher is not in good standing, it is the obligation of the Teacher to provide documentary evidence of membership in good standing, failing which termination of employment, which it is agreed shall be for cause, shall occur.

  • DTS means Days to Settlement, i.e., the number of actual days elapsed from and including the original Closing Day with respect to such Accepted Note (in the case of the first such payment with respect to such Accepted Note) or from and including the date of the next preceding payment (in the case of any subsequent delayed delivery fee payment with respect to such Accepted Note) to but excluding the date of such payment; and "PA" means Principal Amount, i.e., the principal amount of the Accepted Note for which such calculation is being made.
