Distribution Upgrades definition

Distribution UpgradesÌýhas the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.
Distribution Upgrades.ÌýThe additions, modifications, and upgrades to the Transmission Owner’s Distribution System at or beyond the Point of Interconnection to facilitate interconnection of the Small Generating Facility and render the transmission service necessary to effect the Interconnection Customer’s wholesale sale of electricity in interstate commerce. Distribution Upgrades do not include Interconnection Facilities.

Examples of Distribution Upgrades in a sentence

  • NYISO, in conjunction with the Connecting Transmission Owner, shall determine whether any Attachment Facilities, Distribution Upgrades, System Upgrade Facilities, System Deliverability Upgrades, or System Protection Facilities, which are necessary to meet Applicable Laws and Regulations, Applicable Reliability Standards, and Good Utility Practice, are in place prior to the commencement of interconnection service from the Large Facility.

  • Where available studies indicate that the Attachment Facilities, Distribution Upgrades, System Upgrade Facilities, System Deliverability Upgrades, or System Protection Facilities are required for the interconnection of a new, modified and/or expanded Large Facility but such facilities are not currently in place, NYISO, in conjunction with the Connecting Transmission Owner, will perform a study, at the Developer’s expense, to confirm the facilities that are required for Provisional Interconnection Service.

  • Prior to the completion of the Large Facility Interconnection Procedures and prior to completion of requisite Attachment Facilities, Distribution Upgrades, System Upgrade Facilities, System Distribution Upgrades, or System Protection Facilities, the Developer may request an evaluation for Provisional Interconnection Service.

  • The actual cost of the Distribution Upgrades, including overheads, shall be directly assigned to the Interconnection Customer.

  • The Transmission owner shall design, procure, construct, install, and own the Distribution Upgrades described in Attachment 6 of this Agreement.


More Definitions of Distribution Upgrades

Distribution UpgradesÌýmeans the additions, modifications, and upgrades to the distribution system at or beyond the point of interconnection that are necessary to accommodate the DER’s connection to the distribution system.
Distribution UpgradesÌýmeans the additions, modifications, and enhancements made to the utility's distribution system on the utility's side of the point of interconnection necessary to ensure continued system reliability and power quality on the utility's distribution system caused by the interconnection of the small generating facility. Distribution upgrades do not include the network upgrades or the customer's interconnection facilities or the utility's attachment facilities.
Distribution UpgradesÌýhas the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff. â€�Early Termination Dateâ€� has the meaning set forth in Section 14.3. â€�Electric System Upgradesâ€� means any Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, Deliverability Upgrades, or Interconnection Facilities that are determined to be necessary by the CAISO or Transmission/Distribution Owner, as applicable, to physically and electrically interconnect the Project to the Transmission/Distribution Owner’s electric system for receipt of Energy at the Point of Interconnection (as defined in the CAISO Tariff) if connecting to the CAISO Grid, or the Interconnection Point, if the Transmission/Distribution Owner’s electric system is not part of the CAISO Grid.
