Controlling Authority definition

Controlling AuthorityÌýmeans the Minister administering the Tasmanian State Service Act 1984.
Controlling AuthorityÌýmeans either a chief fire officer, a municipal manager or their respective delegates as contemplated in sections 2 and 3 of this By-law;
Controlling AuthorityÌýmeans an authority appointed by the appropriate Government under section 3;

Examples of Controlling Authority in a sentence

  • On successful completion of the period of probation, the candidates shall, if considered fit for permanent appointment, be confirmed to their post by the Controlling Authority.

  • In each work area, roster changes shall be the subject of consultation between the Controlling Authority and the members in the work area.

  • Candidates, who are appointed on the basis of this examination, shall be on probation for a period of two years and during the period of probation, the candidates would be required to undergo such training or pass such examinations as prescribed by the Controlling Authority.

  • Tenure of positions in the Physical Surveillance Services and Police Technical Support (Surveillance) Services shall be reviewed by the Controlling Authority after three years' continuous service or, in the case of a member promoted within either unit, three years from that promotion.

  • A Party may, by written notice to the Controlling Authority of the other Party, from time to time change its Controlling Authority, and the Parties shall amend Schedule A accordingly.
