Due to the large and heterogeneous nature of the panel of interconnected C-ITS systems and devices, there is a need for security and privacy where the underlying mechanisms are tightly linked to the involved services. The Action aims to address the following challenges: end-to-end security architectures with its associated security functions and protocols, trust management with authentication mechanisms, cryptographic based solution such as signature and encryption. In order to improve the performance potential and to ensure the scalability within the framework of continuity of services, map contents of the digital infrastructure to optimise the performances and to ensure the services which require a better localisation and mapping accuracy will be studied and developed if applicable during the Action.
